What are my special features?
A red, green dual purpose apple that cooks well and can be eaten as a dessert fruit. It has amazing keeping qualities and will keep till May if properly stored. In 1800 one of the tenants of Newland Court claimed it was the ‘best family apple known’.
Why am I forgotten?
It was effectively lost until rediscovered by the Marcher Apple Network in the late 1990’s and trees are now available to purchase through Walcot Nursery of Drakes Broughton, Worcs.
