Sarah Crow has been rearing gold star award winning Shropshire lamb, native breed beef and woodland reared rare breed pork for over 20 years. She will be telling us why Slow Food is important to her and how this affects the way she farms.

Steve Guy a.k.a The Hungry Guy has a long history within the food industry from head chef to product development manager which has given him an understanding of what people want from their food and the best ways to deliver this in a way that benefits everyone and everything involved.  This sounds just like Slow Foods 'Good, Clean, Fair..' message.

Slow Food is a global, grassroots organization, founded in 1989 to prevent the disappearance of local food cultures and traditions, and to raise awareness of how food is tied to many other aspects of life, including culture, politics, agriculture and the environment. Through our food choices we can collectively influence how food is cultivated, produced and distributed, and change the world as a result. 

A discount is offered for Slow Food members so if you haven't already signed up head to www.slowfood.org.uk and sign up from as little as £2 a month. 

Ticket price includes welcome drink, talks from the guests and a sample of what they have to offer as well as raising funds to support the work of Slow Food. 

This event will be held at GlouGlou, Castle Gates, Shrewsbury, starting at 7pm but we suggest arriving at 6.30 to allow time to grab your arrival drink and settle in your seats. GlouGlou is open from 4pm to 11pm so you are more than welcome to arrive earlier and stay on a bit later!
