Enjoy a night of all things beer and pizza with Slow Food Ludlow’s latest event held at Hobsons Brewery. Based in Cleobury Mortimer Shropshire, Hobsons are proud Slow Food Business Members, priding themselves on utilising local ingredients and suppliers – from barley and hops, to their wooden pump clips! Hobsons have been brewing since 1993 and since then have grown to become a leading brewery in the region, always keeping locality and sustainability in mind. The evening will begin with a brewery tour (please arrive by 6:45pm to ensure you don’t miss out on the brewery tour), before a beer tasting and brewing pub quiz with a prize for the winning team! Hobsons will be joined by like-minded business The Pizza Trailer of Craven Arms, who will be serving up a range of pizzas buffet style alongside some antipasti nibbles. We hope for outdoor seating and plenty of sunshine but this may move indoors depending on the weather.

The ticket price includes: Welcome drink, brewery tour, beer tasting, pizza and antipasti nibbles served buffet style, plus a brewing pub quiz.

Food & Drink

Hobsons Brewery will be serving a range of cask beers, cider, wine and soft drinks from their trailer bar Sylvia and The Little Pizza Trailer will be parked up next to them on the brewery site. The range of Hobsons beers in bottle and gift packs will also be available to purchase on the night and take home with you.

The Pizza Trailer is a family run business based in Craven Arms, serving up pizzas from a vintage horsebox trailer. The Pizza Trailer mission is to bring people together to enjoy food, creating a space within the local community by having week nights stops, serving Neapolitan pizza to our local rural communities. All of their delicious pizzas make the most of local produce including Shropshire Salumi's chilli and ale salami (made with Hobsons beer!) The Pizza Trailer has a strong eco-stance too; only fully compostable packaging is used.

Getting to Hobsons Brewery and parking

If you are travelling from Ludlow direction, take the right turning onto Tenbury Road after you pass the Co-op on Cleobury High Street. If you are travelling from Bridgnorth / Kidderminster direction, take the left turning onto Tenbury Road just before the Co-op on Cleobury High Street. On Tenbury road, just before the national speed limit signs there is a left turning onto Newhouse Farm. As you turn into Newhouse Farm Hobsons Brewery is immediately on your left, there is a car park as soon as you enter the brewery site, please park here. If this car park is full when you arrive, there is additional parking space immediately in front of you on the right as you turn into Newhouse Farm, before entering the brewery.
