Terra Madre Meal - The Storyteller's Supper. 10 December 2021
The Storyteller’s Supper at AppleTeme will feature Taffy Thomas (MBE), once story-teller laureate, recounting tales associated with the food and drink that will be served, that have special resonance and provenance. On a night when many other Slow Food groups from all around the world will be eating together in a convivial manner, we also will be sharing some of the stories and food, both local and from places further afield. This promises to be a truly magical evening, something a little different for Ludlow’s Terra Madre meal.
The recently published ‘The Storyteller’s Supper’, written by Taffy, is beautifully illustrated and includes foody tales, recipes and a foreword by Slow Food founder Carlo Petrini (Taffy is an old friend of Petrini). The evening will be a celebration of from where our food comes, with a hearty meal to match the tales. There will be specially chosen live acoustic musical accompaniment which will bring the evening to life.
Tickets are limited to a maximum of 30 and include the evening's entertainment, a meal and one drink. The venue is fully licensed with a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks available to purchase. Tickets are non-refundable, except in the case of cancellation by us, in which case you will receive a refund minus the booking fee.
We regret that, due to the nature of the event, dietary requirements cannot be accommodated.
Seating will be on communal tables and benches where people will be sat socially. Appleteme is based in an attractivve old maltings building with high ceilings and good ventilation. Out of respect to staff, performers and fellow diners we ask all guests to wear masks when standing up and moving around the venue.
